- Recommended to be worn over black base coat, as colours pop best that way. The three polishes in this particular series are pretty sheer, though this one builds up the most opaque. You can wear it alone with 3 coats, but the bottle is so small, I just do 1 or 2 with the black base coat. It's almost more of a "blurple" and hardly shifty on the nail. The bristles of this brush were junky, so that was disappointing. - xxLAYUPxx
